ANXIETY THERAPY IN NORTH HAVEN, CT

Free yourself from

overthinking

You can’t make sense of it.

It’s nagging, makes breathing hard, and your head feels fuzzy. You can’t relax, you’re fidgeting, and you feel sweaty, almost as if the world is about to implode at any second. You panic in your relationships, at work, or in school, the worry aches and lives inside you.

It feels like it comes from nowhere. There’s no conceivable rationale for it. One part of you knows everything is fine, yet you’re about ready to crawl out of your skin.

So what are you to do?

Maybe you’ve tried meditation, deep breathing, yoga, journaling, and every other “quick fix” available to you that you’ve find while scrolling on your phone at 2am.

This is exhausting and can leave you feeling hopeless.

It feels like you’ll be stuck like this forever.

You’ve tried talking to your friends or family, but you always get the same bullshit response telling you to calm down or “just relax”. No one freaking gets it.

Find understanding.

We can’t change the stress of life; It can be chaotic, unpredictable, and overwhelming.

Stillness and growth are possible.

You can experience life without your heart beating through your chest. You can feel secure in your relationships, decisions, and purpose. When faced with the challenges life throws at you, you can feel confident in your ability to make it through them.

Anxiety therapy can help.

Questions?

These are some common questions about anxiety therapy. To learn more about working with me go here.

  • Well, first, that’s an entirely normal feeling. Who are we kidding, entering a space where the goal is to unearth what lies below our immediate awareness? That will certainly leave a sinking feeling in your gut.

The unique and wonderful thing about therapy is that nothing is off the table. Talking about how you feel about therapy or our relationship at any point in the process is always welcomed. So, if you’re having anxiety about starting treatment I encourage you to mention that and we can process it together.

  • I’m going to be real with you. The type of work that I do with people aims to go beyond what you may have already encountered in the pop-psychology world. In my approach, we identify 1-2 grounding skills that help you feel regulated in difficult moments. I very much believe in empowering people to choose the skills that work for them on a regular basis so they are integrated into your life rather than a haphazard crisis plan.

After identifying what works best for you, and uniquely you, we begin to dive into the deep work and healing you’re seeking. You could search on Google 101 ways to cope and throw stuff at the wall until something sticks, but that’s what you’re here for, right? I believe that when we begin to address the root cause of your anxiety, you will begin to feel more in tune with your innate ability to self-soothe when feeling anxious.

  • Most people who see me start to feel some relief after 3-5 sessions, though as you can imagine this varies from person to person. I answer this question more generally here.

Life can feel chaotic…

.but you don’t have to.
